KEYWORKERS
Each member of staff is a key worker for a small group of children. They will be assigned to your child when they first start pre-school and are available to see on our notice board. They will help your child settle in, help them to benefit from the pre-schools activities and plot the child's progress through the areas of learning, tailoring the learning to their individual needs and next steps. Please feel free to discuss your child's progress with them at any time.
Please feel free to speak to the supervisor, staff and committee members at any time.

Our Setting
We have two activity rooms for the children along with a large hall and an outside play area.
We are open mornings and afternoons, 5 days a week, during the term time.
We have a maximum of 20 children in any one session with four members of staff, and also run a daily lunch club.
We are a registered charity run by an elected voluntary parents committee. This ensures that the major decision-making is in the hands of the parents.
We are Ofsted inspected, and are very proud of our results, which can be viewed at: www.ofsted.gov.uk
At Wheelock Pre-school, we aim to provide a friendly, safe and stimulating environment, which is rich in learning experiences.
We accept children from the age of two until they go to primary school at four years old. We follow the themes and principles set out in the 'Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)'.
We hope that your child's time in our Pre-school will be a happy and rewarding experience.
